The needle used for this technique is a cross between an embroidery needle, a punch needle and a latch hook.
Inserting the needled into this loosely woven cloth automatically results in even loops of the same height on the reverse side.
When densely packed, these loops form a soft surface texture - perfect for pillows, carpets, seat covers, wall hangings and other textiles.
